West End musical theatre performer Joel Montague will be stepping in to the role of Mendel in the upcoming production of the award-winning musical Falsettos at London’s The Other Palace Theatre, following the news that Matt Cardle has had to withdraw to unforeseen scheduling complications. The show will go on!
After oodles of gossip it’s been confirmed that Academy Award nominee Jake Gyllenhaal and Tony Award winner Annaleigh Ashford will reprise their lead roles in the New York City Center and Broadway production of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s Sunday in the Park with George, opening at the Savoy Theatre in June 2020. Art isn’t easy and nor will be getting hold of tickets!

Have you seen the cast for the European premiere of Falsettos? It’s looking pretty awesome with Natasha J Barnes, Daniel Boys, Matt Cardle, Gemma Knight-Jones, Laura Pitt-Pulford and Oliver Savile all lined up to star in the award-winning musical at The Other Palace from 30 August to 23 November 2019.
Our day in Falsettoland is finally here thanks to Selladoor Worldwide who is presenting the European premiere of William Finn and James Lapine’s Falsettos at The Other Palace from 30 August to 23 November 2019. It’s the first time UK audiences will have had the chance to see March of the Falsettos and Falsettoland professionally produced together here. We can’t wait.
It’s a family affair for Laura Pitt-Pulford as she takes on the role of Sheryl, the matriarch of the eccentric Hoover family, in Little Miss Sunshine, running at the Arcola Theatre from 21 March to 11 May 2019 before heading off on a UK tour. Among the other Hoovers she will be attempting to keep in check will be Gary Wilmot, Gabriel Vick, Paul Keating and Sev Keoshgerian. Happy travels…
Just as it’s getting a bit chilly, there’s some exciting news to warm us up as it’s revealed that James Lapine & William Finn’s quirky musical adaptation of the Oscar-winning movie Little Miss Sunshine will have its European premiere at the Arcola Theatre – in a brand new co-production with Selladoor – opening on 21 March 2019 for a seven-week season before hitting the road for a UK tour. After a sold-out run in 2014, All Star Productions – winner of the Best Producer in the Off-West End Awards 2018 – teams up in May with Trilby Productions and The Cockpit to stage a fresh new adaptation of James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim’s Into the Woods.
